Another Oblivion map

I felt you wanted it, really, and thankfully happened upon it here. What's it? Uhm ... you know. The post's title was quite the hint: it's a lovely and quite handy (if printed on an A2 printer) TES IV: Oblivion map. Click on the pic for a better view.

  1. Back when I was playing Oblivion I had to wonder, what happens when I reach the edge of the map. Morrowind was an island so there was of course the endless sea, Oblivion has land around it.

  3. I just picked Oblivion back up. At one point, I decided to pursue the Ninroot quest and just ran along about half the shoreline in the game. While boring to some, I thought it was fun because I discovered a lot of stuff along the way.

I ran into the edge of the map many times, at which point I saw a polite message telling me that I couldn't go that way and to please choose another.

But I wonder how many folks feel the need to truly copmlete the game, clearing all the dungeons, forts, caves, etc. and all the quests. Right now, I'm trying to clear every fort, alternating with completing all the quests in a particular city or village. I'm trying to not to "cheat" much by looking at the faqs only to find the location of a fort or quest givers. To roam and find the spots on my own would be great, but as much as I love the game, i do have a wife . . . I mean, life.

BTW, a great resource is the Oblivion wiki: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Oblivion

They have an interactive map using the google API (http://www.uesp.net/oblivion/map/obmap.shtml). Unfortunately, the map doesn't always display the interest point names. But to enter a place name and have it locate it is a very neat feature.

  5. Oblivion though calls for whiskey while playing. Care for some Haig Elderly dear?

Dear Guttertalk, thanks for clearing things up... For the wiki and maps links too. And wife/life/whatnot or not Oblivion is still a very enjoyable experience. It's just that some people put the hours needed to fully beat it through a period of a week and others make it last a year, without feeling ressured... Same thing goes with me and the latest Zelda...
