Um, it looks like the article about GamesMaster just cuts at page 21.
Oh my, you're right! Just got the enws to the editor. Thanks Chentzilla.
Wow!Excellent reading! An article about DosBox!!! That's one of my favorite programs! It allowed me to play Quest for Glory 4 on my Computer! And allowed me to keep my collection set of the Quest for Glory for future play.It also allowed me to play some rather *ahem* interesting graphic novel adventure games from the 90s...In any case I am a bit annoyed that I do not know who wrote that excellent article. There was no name on it.
Glad you liked it though it does say "Duncan Rule" in the starting bit! So that's settled then :) Oh, and thank you very much for the comment dear Caleb. Cheers!
On the download. Will comment after reading :)
Will be waiting for your insight my friend...
"It also allowed me to play some rather *ahem* interesting graphic novel adventure games from the 90s..."Wink, wink, nudge, nudge, was it by any chance a Japanese graphic novel adventure?...As for the magazine, I will have a look over the weekend, am quite busy now.
Take your time mate. Retroaction will be waiting for you, you know.
Damn, want to paly Super Mario Kart and Kickoff 2 but download links aren't available :(Gotta do some hunting this weekend.Just curious, how long did it take the team to get this first issue out? Seems to be a great deal of work (and play) to get one of these e-mags one, isn't it?
I hear the games will be uploaded at Retro Remakes soon. So keep an eye on their forum. It took us around four months (although some ideas were around a lot sooner) to get the first issue done. Isue two should be a bit quicker. Cheers.
And since NReive covered that. let me point you to http://justonemoregame.wordpress.com/2008/12/17/stop-hammer-time-alternate-remakes-download-links/Many games from the compo have been uploaded to this excellent blog.
Woot woot, I say. Got to download this. I had my old computer caleb, we called it the kick box (because dosbox was treadmarked). :P
Kick Box... hehe... wish I had kept that old 386 around...
I better read this to help me with this Retro Language you guys speak...
My parents threw out my 386 after I went to college. I just barely managed to save the Ultimate Doom, Quest for Glory, Wing Commander and Ultima collection game CDs.
And hopefully discover some pretty lovely games while you're at it oh Deitrix.A crying shame Caleb, a crying shame. At least you didn't sell it off yourself...
Excellent stuff, Gnome. Read through it last night and there's some great stuff there.I'm getting the RR results together now and there'll be individual downloads up as soon as all the judges hand over the goods. In the meantime, as a thank you - if anyone wants to grab the lot, here's a zip with all the entries in.http://www.retroremakes.com/downloads/competitions/2008CompoEntries.zip
So glad you liked it mate! You are after all the retro remakes master... Oh, and thanks a ton for the link.

Congratulations beardy!I will be downloading this very soon! Not sure how I'll find time to read it, though. But fear not! I'll find time somehow. I'll give some feedback as soon as I have.
I think I did dear Dave (provided it was via the dreaded blogcatalog thingy). Glad you enjoyed the ezine. And you clearly are the loveliest of all the internet's fatherly sega obsessed figures, my friend :DThanks a ton Stickhead! And I see you've already updated the Joy of Sticks! Joy oh joy!

Hey Gnome, Excellent work on the mag - I hope you won't be offended by me saying that its presentation is WAY better than I had expected. (Having read a few "retro fans PDFs" over the years.) It really does look top-notch. And the clever "electronic links" within work well. Very much looking forward to issue 2+. Oh, and if you're after content, you know where to find me. :)
Thank you so much my friend. And admittedly Neil did a stellar job with the layout... I really think you should mail him though... He'd be more than thrilled to know those dirty retro gaming mag thoughts of yours!
Oh baby... I can't wait to read this tonight!gnome - you are the best. :)
Let me know what you thought about it please!Oh, and you are the best. And the most artful too mate :)
